FINAL TRANSNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN BELARUS

October 14, 2015 in Vitebsk State Technological University in the framework of the project "University and Industry for modernization of the textile manufacturing sector in Belarus" of international Tempus program International scientific-practical conference "Textiles Education current state, tendencies and development prospects" was held.

The conference was attended by 90 people, including representatives of the following Belarusian companies and organizations:

- JSC "Mogotex";

- JSC "Svitanak";

The conference heard 8 presentations of the representatives of Vitebsk State Technological University, Mogilev State University of Foodstuff, Belarusian State Economic University, Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus (Greece), the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), University of Ghent (Belgium), University Bieyra Interior (Portugal). The conference discussed the current state and the ways of training of engineers for textile industry. The experience of the universities of Belarus and EU countries to address the most important issues of the textile education.

In addition, the conference was attended by the representatives of Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Textile research center CITEVE (Portugal), and a counseling company IDEC (Greece).

In the framework of the conference, experts of the enterprises met with the students graduating in 2016 from the university with degrees in "Technology of yarn, fabrics, knitted fabrics and non-woven materials" to improve the effectiveness of pre-diploma practice and address the distribution of young professionals.
